Happy International Women’s Day!
Today, we find ourselves reflecting on the women that inspire us/ the women brave enough to share their ideas to create a better, equal future, not just for our current generation but for generations to come.
It is no secret that our very own, Lisa Nguyen, is at the top of the ‘women that inspire us’ list.
Lisa’s experience with dermatitis, caused by the chemical-laden products she used daily in a traditional salon, paired with a budding passion for all things eco, drove her to innovate the haircare industry. 2018 saw this innovative idea become a reality – with the opening of her ‘Enough Studio.’
Over the past five years, Lisa has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to improve her clients' experience and quality of service and provide them with haircare that won’t harm them or our planet.
Lisa loves our earth and her clients so much that one business wasn’t enough to cultivate the change she wished to see in the haircare industry. 2022 saw the launch of her newest addition, George Haircare.
Lisa cares so deeply for the quality of service and product that if she’s not cutting hair, she’s hunched over her laptop, creating George’s next release.
Being a woman in business is no easy feat, but Lisa makes it look effortless!
If we were to write a list of all the reasons Lisa inspires us, this article would be at least 1000 pages long. However, we can have a peep under the hood and gather some insight into how she does it.

It’s been proven that you are a culmination of the five people you spend the most time with.
Running two businesses, you’ll generally find Lisa at work. It is for this reason she takes pride in carefully curating the Enough Team.
Lisa’s team are the not-so-little secret, supporting her, Enough Studio and George Haircare to their success and ultimately taking on Lisa’s mission for a better earth and cleaner haircare as their own.
Besides all that, they’re just a fun crew to spend the 9-5 with (or 9-8 if it’s a Thursday!)

Enough Studio:
Meet our haircare team! These lovely ladies bring your hair dreams to life; they are head massage experts, your personal therapist, eco haircare specialists and your best friend during your time with us.
Lisa.
Lisa is the spearhead of the salon: Founder of not just Enough Studio but her latest arrival: George Haircare!

What’s your favourite thing about being a part of the Enough team?
Being part of the Enough team is a fulfilling and rewarding experience. I enjoy the camaraderie and support of being part of our team and appreciate the opportunity to work together towards a common goal and vision. Collaboration with the team has led to new ideas and approaches that may have yet to be possible on an individual basis.
Which female colleague inspires you the most & why?
Every lovely lady! Being part of our dynamic and multi-faceted team has provided me opportunities for learning and growth, as individuals can learn from each other's strengths and expertise.
You could take one powerhouse woman out to dinner (dead or alive), who do you take, and why?
Zoe Foster Blake is so cool because of her success, humour, relatability, and kindness.
Charlotte.
It’s hard not to fall in love with Charlotte. Charlotte is an expert hairdresser, but her skills don’t stop there! When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find her transforming clients from the inside out – Charlotte is a qualified Reiki Master & Acupuncturist! There’s not much she can’t do!

All of you for many different reasons :)
You could take one powerhouse woman out to dinner (dead or alive), who do you take, and why?
At the moment, it would be Ann Cecil-Sterman. I have sooo many Acupuncture-related questions for her!
Michelle.
You can’t possibly not have a fun time when working with Michelle – she lights up every room she walks into. Better yet, she’s always up for a chat! You’ll find yourself in stitches OR walking away with an extensive curly girl routine after your cut with Mish!

What’s your favourite thing about being a part of the Enough team?
My favourite thing about being a part of the Enough team is walking into a beautiful calm salon working with kind people doing what I love making people look beautiful and happy.
Which female colleague inspires you the most & why?
Lisa inspires me! She is such a brilliant hairdresser, and she goes after what she wants and works hard to achieve her goals.
Enough Wellness (Level 1):
Enough Wellness is the health hub housed above the ground-floor salon. Here you will find your space to nurture wellness, skilfully guided by some incredible women!
Hannah.
Hannah is one of our Enough Wellness founding members. Our in-house Naturopath and skincare fanatic! You’ll also find Hannah working Behind the Scenes to keep the Enough Wellness clinic running smoothly.
What’s your role at Enough Wellness?
Naturopath + Relationships Manager
What’s your favourite thing about being a part of the Enough Wellness team?
The variety in clinic! I meet so many amazing people every day, who entrust their stories with me. It’s pure magic.
I’m also a sucker for a good chat and you’ll often find Lisa, Claire and I sharing insights over a delicious pot of tea.
Which female colleague inspires you the most & why?
All of them!
Lisa is like a big sister to me and certainly inspires me in business. There is literally nothing she cannot create if she puts her mind to it!
Claire is so kind and gentle and always honours herself and her clients – it’s beautiful to watch!
Charlotte is unapologetically herself, living and breathing exactly who she is. That can be rare to come by, and it’s her superpower!
Michelle teaches me to not take life so seriously, there is always joy to find or something to laugh about. Michelle is the perfect example of living and beathing gratitude.
You could take one powerhouse woman out to dinner (dead or alive), who do you take, and why?
My mum – I’ll never stop learning from her.
Claire.
Claire is our skilled Doctor of Chinese Medicine / Acupuncturist. Claire brings a unique calming energy to our busy clinic. If she’s not in with a client, you’ll generally find Claire brewing a delicious tea in the kitchen!

What’s your favourite thing about being a part of the Enough Wellness team?
Everyone is so positive and friendly and supportive. There is no drama or bad vibes ever!
Which female colleague inspires you the most & why?
Lisa is my inspiration. Not only is she an entrepreneur and badass businesswoman, but she has strong ethics, style and is one of the nicest most positive people I know. How does she do it?
You could take one powerhouse woman out to dinner (dead or alive), who do you take, and why?
My very first acupuncturist and cherished teacher and guide (Nancy). Sadly I have lost touch with her, she’s a bit like a magic wise women who has no media presence at all. She changed my life in the most wonderful way, she is one of the most incredible yet humble human beings I have ever met and I’d do pretty much anything to have dinner with her.
Bluebelle Studio (Level 1):
Bluebelle Studio is an Adelaide based design studio that create high quality, unique invitations & stationery. They also offer a range of branding packages for your business. You’ll find Bluebelle across the hall from our Enough Wellness Team.
Kate.
Kate is the Creative Director and force behind Bluebelle. If she’s not busy behind the scenes in her own business, chances are she’ll be convincing you to trial her latest obsession. We swear Kate was an expert saleswoman in her past life – she’s convinced us to buy everything from eco cleaning products to luxury linens and we love her for it!
What’s your role at Bluebelle?
I am a woman wearing many hats. Admin, accountant, designer, marketing, photographer, so on and so forth. But in an easy way I think you could just say Creative Director.
What’s your favourite thing about working within Enough Studio/ alongside our team?
I love the space, it has such a creative and calming feel. Everyone is so lovely to chat to as well in passing.
Which female colleague/ business associate inspires you the most & why?
Lisa, to see what she has built in the last 5 years is inspirational. Always striving to offer her clients better services and products.
You could take one powerhouse woman out to dinner (dead or alive), who do you take, and why?
My nan. She managed to work multiple jobs as a widow raising 5 children. I cannot fathom how but she managed. She was intelligent, beautiful, funny and elegant. I would love to see her one last time.
This International Women’s Day, we honour and celebrate the incredible women who came before us, those we walk this earth with, and those who will come after us.
